GROUNDWORK FOR SUCCESS
Odin Kinetic Training System is designed to create well-balanced athletes. Students advance through a series of activity stations that leverage a variety of movements proven to build stability, optimize mobility and reduce the likelihood of injuries.
THE KINETIC CHAIN
The kinetic chain is an engineering concept used to describe human movement and describes the interrelated groups of body segments, connecting joints and muscles working together to perform movements.
Muscle function and movement are ultimately determined by the outputs of the nervous system. Kinetic Chain training applies this principle by optimizing energy through connected joints to the desired release point.
Regardless of the sport, kinetic training develops the fundamental building blocks often overlooked to optimize athletic performance.
TRAIN THE CHAIN
The system operates on the understanding that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. If we fix the weak link, the whole chain improves.
Alignment
It starts with proper foot-work, hip & shoulder alignment, visual skills and balance. Understanding and establishing basic bio-mechanic principles along with proper form through kinetic-chain applied exercise rules.
Rotation
A series of dynamic movements that create stretch-reflex. Properly executing vertical and horizontal rotational trunk movements, specifically designed to strengthen the link between the lower body & upper body.
Leverage
Further enhance proper lower body positioning and upper body with synchronized full body kinetic-chain movements by learning to apply leverage, improving athleticism, power and conditioning.
Each system includes a series of proven science-based activity stations that fully engage appropriate muscle groups and build muscle memory for increased performance.
MORE POWER.
MORE BALANCE.
MORE ACCURACY.
RUNNING
Gain the full understanding the body's Center of Mass and how to move more efficiently in all directions. Increased body awareness (proprioception) along with stronger, foot/ankle and shoulder to hip connection. Improved overall body balance maker for power sports like: soccer, baseball, field hockey and tennis.
Acceleration / Speed / Turnover
JUMPING
Learn the role of the penultimate step and impulse stride, creating optimal balance between force, velocity and control. Footwork combined with effective arm movement will make the difference between actual & optimal for sports like:
basketball, high jump, long jump & volleyball.
Quickness Action/Reaction Agility
THROWING
Gain more control, create more velocity and improve accuracy, by learning to leverage the body and synchronizing the force that begins at the feet. In addition build shoulder strength, mobility and stability, reduce the likelihood of injury and create stretch-reflex as the main source of power for sports like:
baseball, softball, volleyball, lacrosse, tennis & football.

EMBRACE A ROUTINE
THAT BUILDS A STRONG FOUNDATION.
INJURY PREVENTION
Proprioception - your body’s ability to sense movement, action, and location - is present in every muscle movement you have. Without it you wouldn’t be able to move without thinking about your next step.
It plays a significant role in injury prevention as it allows us to understand where our body is in a given space at any moment. Our senses of sight, sound, hearing and touch work together subconsciously in coordination of tasks like developing patterns, accelerating, and timing.

The principles of kinetic chain training provide the framework for analyzing the body's movement patterns and supporting efficient proprioception. Leveraging this knowledge during an athletes developmental years works to prevent common injuries caused by incorrectly performed repetitive motions.
